Needs a lot of work. Poor plot line, poorly written, especially the opening. You have no reasons behind the character's actions, and Jarod wouldn't be stupid enough to date someone, especially not a woman with a child. AND he takes jobs to help people, he wouldn't just abandon his chosen target.
