I am an obsessed Pretender fan. First became obessed when i was 12 and im now 22. 10 years has gone by so fast and many things have changed in my life, there are few things that haven't but one of them happens to be the Pretender.

At risk of sounding malowdramatic The Pretender was there for me in some of the most difficul times in my life, when i had no one else. I was the child that lay awake at night wishing that some long lost ralitive or hero would come and rescue me so when i became obsessed with The Pretender in a way the characters became like family to me, and Jarod the person i hoped would come and take me way to somewhere safe.

I think part of the draw to the program for alot of people is the beliveabel hero. There is no magic or super powers, Jarods humanity, and inteligence are beliveable weapons (part of my anoyance of the inclusion of the inner sence and scrools comes from this) there really could be some one like that out there, saving people. i think that is what makes it so addictive to people, so many of us secretly wished we had been saved at some point of our lives and the Pretender seems to make that so possible. it goes to show we can have more hope in humanity and each other.
