I haven't read this before and don't remember hearing so much about it so I'm curious. I'm glad I clicked. It's bloody fantastic! I like this style of writing. It's got all of the snark I've come to love from Parker and Jarod as usual is being cryptic. Everyone is in character. Really curious to know what's going on here.

Syd's answer is to relax and that sounds like Syd, anything to keep Parker from killing Jarod.I have a bad feeling Parker's plan isn't going to work out. I love the character growth, that's she is actively protecting those she loves, including Nate. She is trying to protect him and that means giving him up. The Centre is no place for a kid. Ah Mirage I'm getting all the nostaglic Pretender feels.
Reviewer: shauna Signed I wondered that too. The Centre had eyes everywhere and could read the concern on her face for Jarod but no one ever questioned it in the later years. Only once in the early season was she T-boarded and never again and no one inside the Centre noticed her worrying that Bartlett would kill Jarod. Ooh. Lyle kissing his sister is not good and exactly like Lyle. I'm worried.
Reviewer: shauna Signed I could feel Jarod's hopes sink when the phone rang. Ugh. I feel that. So many more Pretender shippery nostalgia feelings when Jarod sends that signal to Parker that it's really him and not his clone and that everything is ok. Parker is so bad ass to the end in this chapter, using all of that adrenaline until it was gone. She wanted to kill Lyle so much and I feel that, and Jarod would have let her and maybe helped her but he needed to move her to safety.
Reviewer: shauna Signed Where the hell are my clothes. Classic Parker in full classic Parker mode activated. You write this so naturally. The power struggle was expected. Parker doesn't like that imbalanced power structure, with Jarod in charge, and it's hard to blame her. This is a tight story.

Yes, Jarod will manage getting into her house just fine because he always does and always has. I love that cute moment. My heart fills with joy that she told Jarod to stay. Shippery feels Mirage. My first thought was Jarod would freak out about the truth about his dad but he doesn't want to freak out while Parker is still going through that hell and he's concealing and restraining his own reaction. He's a pretender. He knows how to do that. Yes, yes, Parker leading the PTA, choosing to be a mother. Oi, but that word. Never. Oi.

I think it was fitting to leave them clothed in this one.

"It is up to you, and," Jarod knitted his brow, "who said it ended? You didn't think you could get rid of me that easily, did you?"

Firstly congratulations 🎉🎉 and secondly 😱 omg I love this so much. The ghosts, Parker's idea of safe sex "one hand on the gun even when she f***" omg and Thomas wishing he hadn't heard it.
Thomas was a major part of her life and it would be a disservice not to include him especially after how he haunted her earlier in this story. The house also deserves some mentions and you wrapped it up beautifully. I never want it to end but this one has 😢..
Amazing work. Thank you for writing , sharing and for all the feels. Love that nostalgic just like watching them on TV feeling.

You tackled another sensitive topic with class and compassion. I know someone who found out she was dating her bio dad, and it was hard and they moved away and stayed together so I appreciate how you highlighted the love they have for each other while also highlighting the complex emotional rollercoaster parker as a victim who won't accept she's a victim is riding right now. She did say she didn't expect to escape..and I think you worded it that way intentionally to show she's more inclined to accept that truth. They are victims and I love that you don't glorify incest but you show the impact and you also don't condemn incest. Compassionate writing voices are the best. And the religion aspects Jarod is musing on are spot on.
Religion is crap. It also does seem plausible. You explained it so well that it seems real.Thank you for this.

More of this please? Don't get me wrong. I love the dark Jarod stories but this is amazing. Just when I began to wonder if you could only write dark stories you surprise me with this. I know you've written a few other more normal stories. I guess you've really only written two or three really dark stories. It seems like more sometimes tho. Excuse my rambling. Jetlag. This is amazing. That's all I wanted to say. I'm going to lie down now.
Ah, yes, haha, I get this A LOT. I've scribbled more not-entirely-the-King-of-hellJarod fics than spawn-of-SatanJarod fics. His baseline is rather dark, however. This is a man that stole an organ from a convict who was minding own business serving his time in prison prior to being broken out of prison-- which is a felony. Jarod committed a host of felonies in that one episode alone. This is a dark series and I do tend to scribble dark fic.
No worries though. I hope you had a nice rest.

Margaret's a spit fire, love what you've done with her hair and that's she's not all conservative stiff homophobe garbage fire. She's Jarod's mom so she has to have an open mind and be accepting. I love all the backstory on all of the characters and how you flesh them out. Keep it up. Jarod and Parker can have sex too you know. That's nice too. hint hint

He is really back! He is really pissed! Having nothing to lose AND with Lyle goading AND with Mark so deserving YES Jarod would easily snap. He didn't really snap. He just wanted to shut Mark up from talking about Miuna. He still focused his rage to remove that tattoo. I think this is Jarod at his best!

Oh, that. I'm not that young, and the content isn't from personal experience. I'm almost certain that no real events regarding me have slipped into the scribblings. Some writers probably do write therapeutically, and that's okay, that's wonderful really. It's good to get it out probably. That isn't me, however.
I wasn't born with the jaw issue. The egg donor hurt my jaw when I was a child.
