Summary: 'Long Way Home' came to me one night as I was driving to a friend's house in the rain, listening to Sarah McLachlan. It's an interesting experience, to have a story come full-blown into your head, complete with a strange woman telling you how and why. Sarah and her children lucked out finding Jarod just when they needed him most, but she'd already proven she could do what she had to -- find the courage to get away from a bad situation in the first place. I admire the hell out of her for that, and so did Jarod, I think. < g >

Title: Chapter 1: 1

This is a wunderful story.

Nothing "big" or exciting happens but it still leaves me breathless...

I could picture everything as if it was on screen. Very vivid and amazing.

Thank you for writing this!

Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Wow!

What a beginning!

I have to say that I didn't "like" the first few paragraphs. I don't know why not but maybe it was because I had expected something else (someone else???) and I got the feeling I was missing something (like the real begin of the story?) but then suddenly I was hooked again. *grin*

I really like the description of everything and the "feeling" in this. I'm still not sure who is who and on which side I should be (yes, I have a very dark mind and I can imagin O'Quinn is the good guy who does everything for a good reason - though I think I would love to see Kaj as the hero too...).

A very good start for something we all waited way too long for!
