Title: Chapter 2: Purgatory (part two)
I do feel sorry for Zoe. She wasn't likeable at all on the tv series but your prespective casts her in a different light. She never really knew Jarod and still doesn't and that's his fault. He pursued her but never let her in, just really was stringing her along on the series and cannonically you continued that and I respect you for not straying from what we already know to be true.
Can I just say that I love how you just tackle this topic. Some authors dance around it. Even on the tv series the word used was "attack" never rape. You yank away the stigma and call it by it's name and we need more of this kind of conversation. You aren't afraid of honesty.
I could always see Jarod raping her. It's what I really expecting to happen every time a new season came out. I don't know how to explain why. He abused sooo many positions of authority and crossed sooo many lines and always justified it and even fans justified it.
Like a roach he crept into Miss Parker's house while she slept and tampered with her gun. I don't care what his intentions were either. There's a power balance. He's a genius, a pretender, and she is not. I thought IOTH would be the tipping over point. He said, "we're alone now" and I was like oh shit here we go.
This is one of the most plausible pieces of literature I've ever read. Thank you for writing it.
