on to serious matters, I read your response to Contessa in the Lucanae reviews...what happened to your jaw if you don't mind my asking...either way take care of yourself.. I know you are care taking of your significant person who is disabled but who will take care of you besides you? You have to rest after surgery, even just wisdom teeth extraction you need to rest.. I wish we all lived closer and could support each other.

"rage with a future" says it all, and I love that moment when Jarod purges the fury, and then... recufss mark and sees the scratches and just....knows. He becomes focused. instead of more blind rage he plans the next revenge to finish Miuna's work...and that's even scarier!!!
You are amazing with the characters. Miss Parker's irritation during the trial ..ooh love it.
You let them be themselves.
Jarod shined so brightly.

I never mention your fight scenes when I review and I have to say now that I can imagine myself as Jarod and also as Mark. You convey both perspectives brilliantly. Your fight scenes are as brilliant as your romance scenes and say in the life scenes. You inject so much energy, passion, and action into everything you write and that and the plausiblilty and characterizations are always so striking to me. I crave more already.

Hey there. Thank you for responding to my review and letting us all know how you are, and I wish you were doing better with no jaw issue or need for wisdom teeth removal 😭. I wish your Significant Person was well too. I didn't know he had a disability. I knew you were in a serious long term relationship with a military man. Being his caretaker ...I know the disability must be hard for him but being a caretaker for him and watching him suffer has to be hard for you. It's hard on you both and I wish life was treating you both better. I hate that you both have to go through what you're going through. I want things to get better for you two.
The review and all of this probably seems like nothing now with all you have going on but your work gets me through hard times, so it's my privilege to review you. I love this chapter and that we see the other side of Jared. I love Miuna and I'm so happy Mark is paying.

Holy COW! Mirage, it's so wonderful to see you here again. I've missed you so much. I know things aren't so good right now. I bookmarked Contessa's review of Lucana and hoped you'd respond and you did, and I read your response, and if you need anything let us know. And you can talk to me. You started your response with "I'm okay" and after explaining what no one would be okay with in your shoes you wrote you're "okay" aagain. I can tell that you're one of those people who automatically answer "I'm okay" no matter how not okay they are. You're young and so is your significant person and no one should be disabled when they're young. It's probably not an easy adjustment. I don't know if I could do what you're doing. You're more than "not happy" you're devastated. I hope the wisdom tooth surgery goes well with no complications. Wisdom tooth tho? HOW YOUNG ARE YOU? OMG. I feel old now. Please please pleae caretake you too.
So, I'm sorry but I had to say that before reviewing this.
I can't even tell that you're going through all sorts of hell by reading your work... that worries me. You're one of those people who don't show their suffering.
Your writing is brilliant as always, I got the scene all playing in my mind while reading. It's like watching an episode.
I hate that I'm over here agreeing with Lyle. Xtians do be loving their god merch and they do put sh*t on their tshirts like they're trying to start sh*t but atheists don't give a damn what xtians wear. UNLIKE xtians who get all furious about a coffee cup or rainbow flag or get all homicidal that other people might be kosher or halal or wear scarfs and coverings on their head. I love that Miuna was bisexual. SO AM I! You bring representation to the party and it's so so important.

Mark inspirational-quote-ing his way through life is so funny and people do that and it's toxic positivity and you've talked about that before, and you totally expressed that here. I just want to show this chapter to everyone who recites these quotes to people who are suffering.
The Centre characters. Balding man in ballgown. Sunglasses, green beehivey hair with a dagger in it, and a forked tongue. Mirage I'm in love. That's the Centre. All walks of life. No judgement. Even Lyle gets it.
I love that Lyle is egging Jarod on but in a comforting way that is creepy and SO LYLE. He's so bad.
Jarod's darkness really shines in this one too. I don't blame him. He didn't feel that his masculinity was being questioned. It was when Mark started up about Miuna that Jarod acted.
OMG. THIS LINE is so awesome. --> "With a new surge of rage, a more controlled and focused rage, a rage with a purpose and a real future.."
lol. Brilliant Mirage.
And that last line. Jarod is going to finish what Miuna started during the rape and murder. He's going to chisel out the tattoo from Mark's chest.
Holy cow. I've never read anything like this. Mind is blown.
You're a powerhouse. I look forward to more from you... whenever that happens. I'm here for some Mirage whenever you give it to us.

Exquisitely written. Jarod back in the Centre. Oh, my God. I have no words.
I have to say the characters are the characters and pitch perfect. "Starve a fever feed a griever" spoken in Jarod's/Michael's voice is echoing through my head now. I can hear them and see them and it's actually scary but in the best way. He gets salty sometimes, especially when he's afraid.
Miss Parker covers nicely with her working late remark. She's trying to conceal her feelings. She's afraid too and in shock. Jarod usually escapes. She usually lets him.
Her "sitting this dance out " remark is also appropriate. I can hear them and see them. Have I mentioned that?
It's perfect Mirage.
