OMG! She didn't deny it!!! YAAAAAAH! Jarod's like "we know the truth, it's getting harder to conceal it" and OMG Parker didn't deny it. I'm so dead right now I can't EVEN!!!! Oh, I love that Jarod is confessing to Parker that way. He always has to get it out and I LOVE LOVE Freaking LOVE that Parker's opinion is the one he's gonna think about when he dies, so he tells her everything like a guilty cheating husband would. Things like menstruation wouldn't bother Jarod at all. He's THAT man. He's been a doctor, a midwife, he's a genius and he knows it all. First I was like, how does he know Parker knew that Mark was telling the truth, but Jarod knows crap about Parker. JAROD KNOWS PARKER! He knew when she wanted to kill Briggie that it wasn't the unfinished business, HE KNEW IT WAS SOMETHING ELSE. and it was. It was telling Thomas she loved him. He JUST KNEW! He knows her.... but wow I didn't see it coming that he would be Miuna's first man lover and the first time having sex can be a bloody freaking mess.. and I didn't get that memo when I was younger so I was well and proper freaked the freak out..That one's tough. Jarod must feel that his entire life has fallen apart now. He's guilty about Miuna's death, he's gulity about having sex with her while being in love with Parker...He would be. He feels it hard like that. They are both going to be in the Centre. OMG. I can't even wait for more. Hurry and write. Hurry. I love it.

Phew. It begins with the comedic antics of Broots, and becomes serious quickly. Broots is struggling and while still bringing the comedy the reader still senses the gravity of the situation. It feels like you're taking my hand and gently leading me to the darker side, instead of kicking me over. I'm appreciative of the kid gloves right now. Life's so hard and people are so cruel. The things happening politically, the innocent migrants being roughly arrested by ICE and shipped to a prison in a country they've never even been to is breaking my heart. I just hate magaTs right now. IT's their fault.I'm glad I'm not a US citizen. SO many of them are sick.
Reading you is a breath of fresh air. It reminds me of the good things, the good hearts, the good times. Thank you.

Exquisite. I love how emotional it became between Jarod and Parker. I still have chill bumps all over me. I feel that so much. It's like watching an episode when I read you. You nail it. Every damn time.
Broots just wanting peace. Damn. He's feeling bad and it wasn't his fault. Parker wasn't going to bring Jarod in until Lyle showed up.That's true to her character. She's never captured him. She's never taken him back to the Centre. SHe can't. She won't do it. I feel so much for her. She's standing there telling Jarod to escape, demanding him to leave and he can't! I'm in tears, Mirage.
Jarod can't leave. He tells Parker to leave, and take her people with her. Oh god. He's trying to be strong, wants to confess his love to her but refuses to burden her.. the way Sydney didn't want to burden Jarod if he could escape.
My heart.But they both know they have feelings for each other. Parker doesn't even deny it when Jarod talks about how Faraijii discovering those feelings.
Poor Angelo. Let him be safe and happy.
I hope to see Sydney soon. He's still recovering from the health issue I presume.
That last part tho. Damn. Jarod won't have to feel guilty for long. He'll be seeing her soon I'm guessing. Can't ever get enough of you. Write faster please.

I've got to talk about the characters first off.
Broots is so Broots.
Parker is so Parker.
Jarod is so Jarod.
The Centre is so The Centre.
They're spot on.
It seemed so business as usual until Jarod joined Parker.
The Pretender is home again and I love the big feelings that Broots, Parker, and Jarod have about it.
The way Jarod lost his train of thought because of deja vu was such chef's kiss perfection 😘 and uh-huh she didn't even tell him that her baby brother is missing and she isn't going anywhere. Those two back together at the Centre. Amazing. I love it. Now I need more please! 🙏🏼

I apologize for not responding sooner. It's been nearly a year since you reviewed. Jarod could be the fandom father, and who wouldn't want Parker to be their mom?
I'm afraid I have too many theories to share. They continue to hurl themselves at me.
The feral babies saga. They appear, and observe me for a while, and eventually, I transport them to a vet and/or furever home. That can go down a number of ways, depending on the baby. Sometimes, friendly ferals walk up to me after stalking for a while. One kitten materialized here just before a winter storm, and was starving. He considered running away, but changed his mind and kind of stumble-walked into my hands. Other times I have to put a bowl of food in a carrier (a standard carrier, not a trap that slams shut) and wait for the baby to go inside, and then sprint like hell to quietly close the carrier door before the baby can suspect me of capturing it. I feel terrible when it goes down that way. They have this look of betrayal and they communicate their feelings with a low, humanesque "noooooo."
But they need to be spayed and neutered (whether they agree or not), and they deserve furever homes and proper meals, clean water, beds, castles, cat trees, blankets, toys, scratching posts, healthcare, love, and to be completely fucking spoiled. I do love the transition from "o hell no bitch, I'll stab you to death with my badass bean blades if you even think about touching me" to "ear and chin rubs are FUCKING. AWESOME. *purrs. EVEN. louder.*
And their humans send me updates and photos, and I don't even have to harrass them about it. I simply invite them to send me updates and like proud parents of honor graduates the humans gleefully do it. I love that enthusiam. Fin.

I never thought they'd really let her go.

omg I don't usually read the other reviews but my mobile scrolled cis someone nudged me at airport Lorraina is cray. I know why you'd think ear wiggling is an euphemism for something else!!!
Lorraina is like "why a euphemism?"
Also Lorraine is like "I am dirty and get all over him and objectify him and love euphemisms"
I don't know much about the actual actors either. I knew about the ear wiggly thing because IMDb or Wikipedia or something but you can't be expected to know everything about the actors.
I appreciate that you don't objectify him and that you don't obsess over actors. It's so pathetic of fans to want to screw actors they don't even know. I'm glad you're not reeking of that desperation
