Title: The Missing Piece (Part III)

Kirkland took a weird cocktail of drugs and alcohol. He's stressed and seems genuinely concerned. You assure us he's the good guy in this and I thank you for that. The Italian island is beautiful. Your descriptive work is spot on. I can tell you're a traveler. Justice is hard to find. The world is darker than ever now. I like how Jarod wanted to let the death go and then couldn't. I like that Jarod took care of her, that Parker chose to go to him. The writing continues to be consistently brilliant.

Author's Response:

Kirkland is one of the good guys. No, I actually haven't traveled extensively and haven't traveled at all in quite some time. I love earthlings, their cultures, languages, beautiful places, new experiences (who doesn't?) but I sorta feel guilty if I can't reach the desired destination on foot or by bike. And it sucks so hard that all of the places I most want to see can only be reached by plane. The world isn't all that dark; certain people in the world, however--

Thanks for reading and reviewing.

LOVE that there is really a haunted Island and that Parker went there and it was her way of letting Jarod know she was still alive. So in character and your dialogue and descriptive work are all beautifully and professionally done. I want more. Please?

Author's Response:

There will be more. Thank you, Jillian, for reading and reviewing.

Title: The Missing Piece (Part III)

This is one of the best stories I've ever read. The Italian haunted island idea is intriguing. I searched online and it really exists and is like you described it. The way you write is amazing. You describe things so easily it seems. You talked about the earth reclaiming and you've become the authority on these characters. Please continue and please tell me Jarod will find Parker again alive.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you like the Island and the fic. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

I think you are way too humble listing your stories as general. I hope you'll list this as drama, romance, and humor too, and you should add your own category 'tingly feelings' like only Michael T. Weiss could evoke because you make me feel like I'm in the story with them and that tension and weirdness between Jarod and Miss Parker... even you have to admit that the actors do an exceptional job convincing us and YOU do an exceptional job of conveying that in writing. I always get the visual and the emotions and I feel those emotions. You're good. You're the best. Kirkland spiking his mylanta with rum is... I can see him doing that. Parker was abducted on his watch and he's a good FBI agent and a good man and Parker is the hero and I get his concern for her. You make it clear that it's concern for her and not his own career. I love Kirkland. You create these original characters and they are unforgettable. The thing I'll always love most about you is this gem said by Jarod.. "It's true that I want you to stop; I want you to stay. More importantly and precisely I want you to make those decisions." Oh my God Mirage. You know that makes me fall in love with Jarod. And you're still NOT a shipper??!!!! How is that even possible when you write these things?"!!  Miss Parker has to fall in love with him too. How can she not???!!! I need more and this kind of perfection is so worth the wait..

Author's Response:

You are too kind. No, I'm still not a shipper.

Thank you for the lovely review, needlepoint.

Mirage YOU never disappoint. You're a wordsmith. So eloquent. Rarely do I see quality and quantity exist together at the same time but you've achieved both with your body of work! How do you get these characters so pitch perfectly in character while managing to be succinct and plausible? I can see that you're naturally talented and skilled. You've always been a brilliant story teller and you keep getting better and I keep wanting more. I will always be thankful to you for sharing your talents with us.

Title: The Missing Piece (Part III)

Bravo! I'm not a softy but I appreciate that they didn't have sex in this chapter. As much as some of us want the story to go in that direction and for Jarod and Miss Parker to grow closer and have sex again it's obviously complicated. Not to mention that she came to him battered and we know Jaord. He's relieved to see her alive and is feeling nothing else but that same boyish affection for her. He patched her up with a doctor's detachment.

I wouldn't have minded a detailed play by play of medical procedures but I know you probably don't care to do that and you have already in several other stories and you did it well. I know you're capable of writing him as a doctor and describing the medical procedures in detail. I think you probably prefer not to. Some of the ladies have an aversion to Jarod as doctor. Some of you have an aversion to Jarod in general but hey I'm not naming names.

Your indifferencence to, and maybe partial dislike of Jarod doesn't show in your writing fortunately. You are a savant and virtuoso. You know where to put the characters and you know where the plausibility limits are. You know when to give us the realistic hardcore sex scenes and you know when to pull back and let the situation be what it is and I'll stop there before my review begins sounding any more similar to that old Air Supply song lol. Things are complicated for Jarod and Miss Parker and that's what so many fans find intriguing about their relationship. It's been forbidden and strained but I hope they will have a semi happy ending. I like the direction and you haven't disappointed me yet.

I'm glad Kirkland was a good guy. Cuban cigars sounds like a nice retirement. Can I thank you for giving them quality dialogue that follows what we know from the series? I look forward to reading more. Until next time.

Parker's not the only one NOT exonerated if you're following along with real life lol and politics. Thank GOD you're taking my mind off the real life bs.

Things got really tense there when he asked about Dante and what was up with her lip? Is she hiding something from Jarod? I can't wait to see what the next chapter brings. Please continue.

No no of course Parker isn't going to do what Jarod told her to do. That's why I love her so much. But I love him too for caring about her. Oh Mirage you know exactly what you are doing. You know these characters so well. The idea of Jarod watching her sleep for so long .. so many shipper feels in my heart. He has to find her... alive please. Please?

Muhawha. I love how this opens with Jarod's thoughts and how Parker is doing the opposite of what he wants. It's so in character. From there it gets better and better and I can't wait to see what's in store for them. More, please? I will wait patiently.

Oh, I love how beautifully you write and all of the clever nuances. The characterisations are perfect and that dialog took me right back to watching the dvds in uni. I think Parker is hiding something. The lip twitch seems so telling. I had to read this twice to catch that part and now I'm wondering what she's up to. You always keep me guessing Mirage. They didn't have sex this time but that's ok with me. I trust you'll continue to do right by the series. I can't wait to read the rest.

Jarod is always trying to do good by her. "YOU DO remember Ethan?" I always love your dialouge. This is like watching the series on tv again. I don't have to miss the show and I get new scenes thanks to you. Thank you for sharing your talents and skills with us.

Oh my god! The way Jarod was cynical that it was Parker that had been identified and then the way he rejected the truth and his expressions and mannerisms God. That's amazing writing Mirage. I love this fic and I demand more. Write young woman and please write quickly. Please.

Awesome! Parker calling Jarod's place a fuckpad is just what I needed in my life. She is so snarky and badass. I love the sort of role reversal thing you've got going on. She's John Wick and he's Martha Stewart. It's just too cool. Have you noticed a resemblance between Keanau Reeves and Michael T Weiss??? because I have and so when I read that Jarod might have answered with that Jonn Wick line I giggled like a little girl. You inject these little bombs of joy and humor in already stellar writing. I love this fic if you can't tell. I need more now. The bruises like a necklace....oh my god Mirage I just need more. You're a genius and I need more.

Title: The Missing Piece (Part III)

After some years of lurking I'm finally reviewing. You capture the dynamics between all the characters better than I've ever seen done and you didn't stray from the original storyline. You provide the right amount of descriptions and details. I like the action, adverture, drama, mystery and even the romance I'm shocked to find. You write it well. I'm a guy and I like adventure more than anything and you bring it! That one chapter was spicy. I've read all of the smut in the world and have never seen the act of sex written the way you do. You articulate well and make the characters pop and put the reader in the room with the characters and I want your secret. I smiled when Jarod hinted at being a pretender with Miss Parker. It was out of concern and could be misconstrued as threatening or extortion, and by her it would be, but it was out of concern. He still walks that crooked line of wrongness but wrong for right reasons as he did in the tv series. You're a master at demonstrating that and showing us his humanity and his struggle to do the right thing or to have to do the wrong thing for right reasons.  You're one of those authors I will always come back to again and again to read and savor.

Woot! Top notch top quality. It's always such a pleasure to read you Mirage. You know and write these characters exceptionally well. I can't even honey! I'm glad Jarod didn't get jealous and that Parker didn't get jealous. They are mature and no one said anything about monogamy. He seemed more worried than jealous and she has always been defensive when people pry. I love this story and the care you give in your writing. Congrats on a beautiful chapter. Please update soon.
