uuuhhh...excitiiiing. Want more pleaaaase. :-) Still reads like a great crime-thriller-book and I do love that! So many questions and twists.
Got a question though:
"Each day she'd spent in that cage and with Lyle had made her harder, another trial she’d survived, another brick in the wall and Jarod knew that she built that wall stronger with each passing day."
-->by "the cage" u mean her imprisonment by the Yakuza,right?! And the days with Lyle were those we still don't know much about and which apparantely happened at the Centre,right?!
Was Parker imprisonned at the Centre BEFORE Jarod infiltrated it with the FBI, or was that afterwards,when Lyle held her kinda hostage up in his office while trying to shoot Jarod?? (or can't u tell,coz then u'll give something away?) See,this is how great ur story is. I actually need to ask questions like that in order to put it all together. Feel like an agent myself,haha. This is so much fun!!!
Oh and was just shouting at my screen "No Parker don't do that!Stay with him!" Great cliff-hanger there. Do hope to see some romance in it as well though. But well,the longer the journey towards that goal, the sweeter the achievement of that goal will taste. ;-)
Oh yeah and enjoyed the slapping-Jarod part and that he actualy needed some time to recover from that hit. *chuckles* Well she IS known for knocking guys out. ;-p

Hi IceAngel! Yes, you are correct. "The cage" was the Yakuza's doing. We don't yet know what transpired in the Centre with Lyle before Jarod rode in with the calvarly. And we don't yet know who planted the explosives that destroyed the Centre (killing Agents) druing the raid.
And yes, Parker was imprisoned by Lyle a year (or thereabouts) before Jarod organized the international take-down. It was during the raid that Lyle attempted to kill Jarod/ Lyle and Parker struggled for the weapon.
After the raid on the Centre (and the explosion) she was caputred by the Yakuza and caged.
I apologize that I was not more clear with my writing and believe me, you are not alone, I have to ask myself at times just what it is I'm doing. ;-) If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Finally an update, not than I'm complaining as it was worth the wait. I can't wait to read more and don't get me wrong, I love the adventure and how she manages to stay ahead, but I too am hoping for some romance. Keep up the great writing!!!!!

Hi Lori, RL isn't going all that well atm and I've taken on a heavier workload to boot, so there may be quite a delay between chapters. It can't be helped.
I may add some romance- though be warned, I'm much better with the angsty- at each other's throat- aspect of the Parker/J (non)relationship. Thanks for r & r!

Well, for all the hard times that Jarod gave Parker, the games he played with her leaving her alone and defeated with her so called family, it is no wonder she has little trust in him now. Good twists and turns. But Jarod is not so easily defeated either, that is why they make such a fun team.
Will she get away from him this time? ah always so many questions left to play with.... great writing to allow us to only guess your intent.
I honestly do enjoy your writing and the way you put your maze together.

I love how she outsmarts him time and time again, poor J just can't win. I love the concept, the characters, especially love your original characters, the story, it's all so very well written. Please update soon. And please update forces of nature as well as it's amazing, dark Jarod (to an extent) is wonderful!

As far dark J, I agree and I do have limits, though I was really pushing them with Forces of Nature. I see no reason for things to get that dark in this fic.

Love it, love it. I am curious about where this goes next and if there is a possibility of romance, a little sex maybe? Please? We all know what that seething and snapping means, it means they are crazy about each other and should have sex, sex, sex. Or at least sex lol.

IMO, he became a little less naive, less childlish, a little more angry, a slight bit darker with each season/movie as he lived in the real world and "grew up". More is coming. Thanks!

Just reread the entire thing.....lol, you are great with the brutal seething, sneering, glaring, patroninizing bit and that is THE miss parker I have come to love so much!!!! Also, it's great to see that Jarod has hardened and toughened over the years which seems right in line with the show actually. Another fanstabulously Mirage original !! I love your stories, your writing style which breathes life right into each character, and all of your twists. Amazing. Please update soon!

Great new chapter, well written and again your insights into characters and behaviors are spot on. it's great to read something with just enought twist of being different that it captivates you.
