Ooh Mirage, that was awesome! I laughed in some of this. some humor there, so many emotions and I have to say that your character protrayals are the best I've ever read, great original characters too and perfect dialoges. This fic is sooo like an TP episode but BETTER! One complaint: You haven't updated forces of nature in like forever, com on!

It was so good that I had to read it again from the beginning. You put their relationship down in such an interesting way. I love your little plots and all the mystery. Can you give us some more or do I have to reread everything again?

Very Very good. well written but the intrigue is so heavy that you hate to walk away from the story no matter what!! until it is finished.
oh.. did I mention I hate cliff hangers!! lol. but even terrific writers such as yourself and others on the lists are allowed a few! Great job. You never know what is going to happen next, what secret will be the key to the whole thing?
oh... no typos, but then I was so lost in the story I'd have missed them anyway... and I'm good at that.

Wonderful new chapter! The story is progressing beautifully, and I disagree with other review, I believe that her trust is in order. Let's think back to when Jarod was out of the Center for some thing like four years and he was distrustful enough to break into her house and take out the firing pin. She did save his life, i think she wants to trust him, it's an amazing plot and so well written, nice descriptive work, good detail and so much emotion. Is your story, you've never let me down yet. I also vote that you could have him tie her up, would be okay to do that just don't make him as dark as those few chapter in Forses of nature and what tipos or typos? There is no mistake.

Thanks James. Let's keep in mind that it's only fiction and it's all for fun (when Mirage can't sleep) and I will be addressing the "trust" issue in coming chapters. Again, I don't know if I should break out the ropes and duct tape, I wouldn't want him to become "Forces of Nature" dark. I will see what I can do. It's me though, so don't get expect much. And yes, there are typos. But how cool are you for not noticing them! ;)

Finally, an update! I'm still intriqued by this this fic, the mystery and suspence and just how well you write the characters. You have a wonderful writing style and such a knack for writing, descriptions but esp. dialog. Does this bed and breakfast exist? If so, please tell me where it is because I would love to go there in body. You have taken me there already in spirit and mind. I look forward to another update, another nice and long one please. I'm curious about many things. Will she ever trust him? Is he really the good guy in this fic? I ask that because you seem to explore the darkness often, fear, the darker emotions between them, it seems you always take things to the darker side. What is the FBI's inolvement? Oh, I could go on. It's such a mysterious thriller and I'm so impatient. Please update this and Forces of Nature too!

Stunned. To my knowledge, the B & B does not exist. I'm working on the update, might not be a very long one, RL is crazy but I'll see what I can swing.
She will trust him openly eventually. In her own way, she already does trust him to some extent but there are reasons, besides the obvious ones, details I've yet to disclose. I'll unravel the mystery soon.
Yes, Jarod really is one of the good guys this time, hopefully his character will resemble the Jarod you all know and love in some small way at least. I've no intention of this thing going the FON route, but then, I had no intention of FON going the evil-bastard-Jarod route. I'm actually making a conscious effort to keep that man in line this time around.

I'm so glad you updated! I'm really enjoying this story, as well as your other.
Like how Parker goes back and forth from calling him Jarod to Agent. It's as if she's trying to decide who he is to her now. Nice detail! I can also understand Jarod's frustration with her lack of trust, even though he knows why, knows her. They just saved each others lives and killed 2-3 people. Does she really think he's just going to turn around and be all FBI Jarod and lock her up?
When he gave her the photo of Catherine, Jarod said it'd been 5 years. I'm not sure what that meant? And I can't tell if he knows the scoop about what's going on, or if that's the journey they'll take together.
And because I have a filthy mind, part of me thought it might not be so bad to have Jarod tie her up on the 4 poster bed. :) They could have a little scar & tattoo show and tell, among whatever other activities might occur to them...

Thank you Jane Q. Doe, I'm glad you're enjoying it and ahh, you noticed her shift between Jarod and Agent, it was a minor detail but I had to add it. She knows that the bad guys have infiltrated the feds and he is an agent, so her distrust and fears, while misplaced, are all valid, just as Jarod's were when she was chasing him. Things will shift in the next chapter, it's coming, I promise.
Five years since she'd seen a photograph of her mother. Her home was destroyed and well, there are other details, some Jarod has prior knowledge of and other details he has yet to discover.
Hmm, my mind does crazy things when I think of her tied to a four poster, things could really derail and this could turn into yet another 'blizzard in nowhere Texas- Jarod gone mad' sort of fic. But who knows, maybe I could arrange a little twist for the like minded, we shall see.
Everyone who wants Jarod to tie Parker up- raise your hands.. :)

Nice one! (as usual ;-)) Still very intriguing and exciting to read. Loved the verbal battles between J and MP,especially the ones where he gets into a teasing-dark-humour kinda mood like with the ropes. *chuckles* Do hope though that MP will soon come a bit to her senses,coz although she saved J's life, she's getting a bit irritating with all that hardcore suspicion (yeah,I know she's got huuuge trusting-issues,but still. ;-))
LOVED the small bit about Thomas u brought in (duh!haha). You're right: and yet J and MP always end up together in your stories. Hehe. Too bad the 2 (MP&Thomas) can't be together in this one. *sad sigh*

I loved the iteraction between Parker and Jarod. When I read your description of her, I can't help but imagine a cornered mouse, desperate to flee away from the stick which will eletrocute him. And Jarod siding up with her, believing in her, was great. I sense, however, that youhave been holding back...
How did Parker know the lottery odds? How come she always knows how to bypass the security detail? Why are there FBI agents involved in the hunt and incriminationof Parker?
Blah, I could go on forever with my questions. Ignore me. What I want to knw, truly, is how you will make Parker trust Jarod. It too seriously imminent death for her to run to him and not away. How do you answer that without it being spoiler?

Nicely done. You write with such clarity, weaving the story so well that its like being there in the story and watching the events take place, like an episode, just comes to life. Characters are just as I remember them, dialogu is wonderful and the dance although brief was so nice. I enjoy the give and take, enjoyed Jarod's recapture of a shred of control, but as always in your fics, they are in a constant tug of war for control, just as they are in the show. Author's Response: Yeah Jules, I wanted them to get a feel for wearing the others' shoes for a while. He gets the frustration of fruitless searching while Parker gets the anxiety, stress and exhaustion of always looking over her shoulder. Terrific! so well done. you leave so much to the imagination to fill in after each chapter, which just leaves the reader more addicted to the story!
Well wriitten, the action mixed with the insight into the charcters and the dialoge. All comes together with me wanting more! There are many threads that, although brightly colored are left swinging dangling in the wind, you keep the reader on their toes throughout the story, never knowing what to expect.
Jarod is getting a bit of a taste of a reveral of fortune! Instead of playing childish tricks on Parker his concer and anger keeps his chase fueled. I wonder if she has a clue as to his feelings... they always seemed to miss or mistake that even though they knew each other so well.
Great Job. I am sooo hooked. No didn't see a typo in sight. I still reign as the queen of typos! ;-p
