what an interesting turn in behaviour... is Jarod trying to seduce her the safe way ( the 'friends-first-then-we'll-see thing?) the poor guy doesn't know yet that he seems to have rivalry now.... I love the way your story sounds real (I'm reffering to the Russel's divorce) and how you chose to paint a rather sad story but fitting both reality and the tv show!

I loved this chapter (and all the other ones as a matter of fact!) Are we really close to an end? because it doesn't sound like a very happy ending... And at the same time, I sometimes have difficulty imagining a real happy ending for them... more like a black and white ending (meaning, both happy parts, and some unhappy others...) well, I hope we'll have the next chapter soon, cause it's a real pleasure to read such emotional chapters!!!

I just read your story, Forces of Nature, and wow what a rollercoaster story! There were so many twists and turns and I couldn't read this fascinating story fast enough. Parker's vulnerability in a world without the Centre is refreshing to the hard character we see on the show. Jarod is usually the same steady level-headed character in most fanfiction storys, but in this one, wow! The twist of Jarod working with Raines is something I did not see coming and the fact that Parker could see how it wasn't his fault is a tribut to the strength of her character. The only problem I had was accepting that there was an amazing story with a good Lyle.;) I hope you will continue this story because it can't end with Parker walking out and Jarod in tears... So yes, your story is highly addicting and I can't wait to read another chapter! Keep up the wonder writing!

Wow! Thank you so much M. Rose. Ah yes, "good" Lyle. It's strange I know but I began sort of drawing parallels between Jarod and Lyle and the "bad" and "good" guys from day one. It really could have gone either way for all of these characters and still could. Ethan is on the "good" team. Well, he is now anyway, now that he listens to the "good" voices. But without intervention, Ethan would taken quite a few lives. I think if Kyle and Ethan can switch sides, so can Lyle. And so can Jarod. Of course, that wasn't J's fault but I don't think Lyle, Kyle, Alex or Ethan signed up to be psychopaths either. Ok, I'm rambling.
I appreciate the kind encouragement.

Again such a fantastic chapter! I love the angst in it! But I sure hope for a happy end for Jarod :).
The only thing, which makes me wonder is that Jarod doesn't seem really troubled about him beeing created and the Majors involving with the center.

Thanks anon! J does seem to be coping well. He learned of the Majors' invovlement and his creation months earlier and instead of writing out his reaction- which would have occurred prior to the Parker's ill-fated search for Ethan- I left the reader to assume that he was already in the process of coming to terms with the truth. However, there is a possibility of character interaction that will maybe iron out the wrinkles.;-) Or I could always go back after this monster is finished and then clarify. We'll see. I appreciate any criticism, comments, etc..
I'll see what I can do about that happy ending and I'm so glad you want more.

ah.. wonderfully written. But yikes, loads of angst. This is the 2nd story today that makes me feel like I 've had my heart ripped out.
I think you have to "nail" it to reach people, and you did. To me that is what writing is all about. So both stories today that touched me I hope will also get my muse into a different mode other than vacation.
Good job, well written and a very angsty subject!

Oh my! Damn girl, that was in-f^ck'n-credible. I've read many a tp fic and even evil Jarod this is so good it was not his fault it could totally happen! He did look damn right scary in IOTH. I'm only on the what lies beneath chap, but f^ck. Give me more of this please!

Hi Sandrine. Well thanks. He actually seemed to grow darker with each season but the "drop dead" stare he gives Parker just after he misses his mom on the isle was- *whistles* not nice! Honestly, I never thought he was as *sweet and innocent* as he pretended to be but I had no intentions of writing him as whacked as I did.

I was so delighted to find this to read tonight.
It is a heart wrenching story and yet it fits them. Two very damaged souls with intelligence and if it were possible to get past the damage or work around it, no one would understand each other like they could.
I liked this line -"He felt that the pages of their story were numbered, that the ending was drawing near. He could only wonder how she would finally end it, and when." Becasue within the story frame you have written it fits perfectly.
I realize it is summer and everyone has limited time to enjoy it, but I do hope for more of the story soon! ;-) Selfish yes.. as they say now,,, my bad.

I think I haven't reviewed for quite some time (two chapters at least, I think!) but I'm still thinking that your story is the best I've read so far... As some review said, you've given so many reasons for their relationship to work or definitely NOT work, that I'm still wondering which path their relationship is taking... but maybe so are you!!!
It's beautifully written and so intense! I wish we could have the next chapter right away! Good luck for finding time to write more!!!!

I did't see typos, but then I wouldn't! lol.
Very tense, and you have laid out so many reasons for this relationship to either implode or work. It would never be easy but the two of them are so damaged they may make it work if they could pull their selves together enough to care beyond the past. Tough one. You wrote an excellent thriller. Very emotional, nearly explosive. Don't stop now!!
