Really enjoyed this chapter, very good. You're pacing yourself with this story and it is coming together extermely well in my opinion. I really like how you've taken your time to develope the relationship between the two of them instead of just having them jump into bed in the first chapter. Very nicely done and I think you've shown great self restraint! Keep it up!

Jarod sat perfectly decent with the remote in one hand, still aimed at the television as if he had meant to turn past it, but just never did. She was amazed that he wasn’t on the phone with Sydney, asking questions while he watched.
Hahah that part cracked me up. Nice chapter. The end was very tasteful and a good mixing of their physical and emotional bond.

You've really picked up the pace with this chapter. It's becoming more interesting with each new addition. I'm curious to see what you have in mind for the next one and if Jarod is right that someone at the Centre thinks she is still alive. BTW love the descriptions of the clothes.

A little bit more angst please. Still like the story, but Ms Parker is loosing a bit of her edge.
Author's Response: Hm...I'm not sure I can do anything about the angst at this moment in the story. I enjoy angsty stories, but my own writing doesn't always contain a whole bunch of it. My philosophy is that Miss Parker will lose some of the bitchiness toward Jarod as she allows her feelings for him to flourish. The Centre is no longer between them, so there is no need for her to be quite as hostile toward him. She was at first, when he was meddling in her business, but now, she has "let him in" so to speak. That doesn't mean that she won't have her moments though. I love her witty, saucy, mean self, but as we've seen in the show, there is a much softer side to her, as well. Sometimes, I think it's more challenging to write that aspect of her while still trying to keep her in character. Okay, I'll stop rambling now. I could discuss Miss Parker all day. :) Glad you're still enjoying it though.

Nicely done. Love the way you described the barfly and Jarod interactting. Curious to see where you go from the cliffhanging ending of this chapter. But please don't wait too long ... it's not nice to keep your readers in the dark for extended periods of time. If you do, you might find Willie knocking on your door and vacation time in the renewal wing isn't excatly pleasant. (wink, wink)
