Title: A Different Kind Of Freedom

Mesmerizing. You're one of those authors who always takes my hand and pulls me into the story. I forget where I am and my surroundings and become immersed in the images you create and evoke.

I like the darker stories where Jarod is darker and you write those scarily plausible and remarkably well, but there is something to be said about your outstanding ability to write Jarod and Miss Parker in a loving and understanding relationship. I was worried when he broke into her home and broke into Xander's. Obviously those Jarod and Miss Parker, and Jarod especially, has demons and I've always thought the bitterness, pain, feelings of betrayal and his darkness could easily lead to him doing something horrible to Miss Parker.

But that didn't happen in this series of yours and as much as I enjoy the canon aspect of those two being on opposing sides and bickering and how you write them more close to canon I also love how you carefully bring them together slowly. It takes time and work. You show that. It must be hard to show that, to have to write how they must reconcile all of the crap they've been through.

It's not cheesy, it's not rushed, it's still, and realistically so, a day to day effort for them. Things can't change for them for the better at the snap of a finger.

You're always in peak form. This first chapter of part 6 seamlessly transitioned from where they were. I love how you balance story consistency and brevity. You know what you're doing and you're doing it brilliantly. I hope you never stop. What I love about fanfic is that the authors write the story and that's the only focus. You aren't here to make money. It's fanfic like you say. All fanfic authors get paid in reviews and stars. It's much more pure and authentic to the Pretender tv series this way. You add only what will move the story forward or fill in blanks, and add to the characters' backstories to make their relatsionships even more profound. You stay on the path with what we already know.

I guess I'm still disappointed about the so called "official" novels. I thought they were going to continue where they left us, not change so much of the story including when Jarod escaped. It's like it became more about making money, but I'd spent money on the DVDs. That's the story I wanted to see continued. I don't want to spend more money on books that don't continue the DVD's story, and they haven't released another book yet either. I never thought I'd prefer fan written stories over the the novels written by the show's creators but I do. I prefer yours. I know you don't like this kind of talk and you don't want to hear it or read it. I think you should know how much I love your work. I want you to know.

I want you to know that many of your stories are my preferred continuations and endings. Your stories could all fit perfectly as a movie or episodes.

I want to see you continue this soon please.

Whoa! This is pure gold.

There are houses like this. Recently a house was found inside of a house. There's the Winchester house. Tunnels beneath houses and driveways.

Paranoia and wealth make cuddly bedfellows. You throw misanthropy in to the mix for an even nicer and well hidden bed.

Broots is the man.

If Steven and Craig ever do include Broots in their fanfic novels or ever finally complete the story on tv or a movie I hope they have this same twist where Broots is DIA who infiltrated the Centre JUST LIKE IN THIS STORY!

It's a genius, pure stroke of genius.

I can't wait until I can read more.

I love it! They're growing, evolving but not so much that they aren't recongized.. just the natural growth that I'd expect. Their personalities are still their personalities.

All of the physical contact here even tho only G rated is so erotic to me...


"Please," Jarod whispered, moving his hand slowly down the length of her arm, and gently taking her hand into his, "talk to me."
Parker reciprocated immediately, threading her fingers through Jarod's, and said in a quiet, solemn voice, "I'd rather confront whatever or whoever we're running from than-- than you resent me, hate me. You could let me out here, turn around, go back to your life, and give Cate a family. I'd rather you do that than lose your freedom." Parker swung her gaze at Jarod when he didn't stop the car. "I'm talking. Are you listening?"

"I am," Jarod answered, lifting their joined hands to his face, and pressing his lips to her hand. "And now it's your turn to listen," he added, addressing Parker by her name, "You are my life, my family, you and Cate, and we're going to get through this together. All right?"


That was SO erotic, Jarod's tenderness. You're not the biggest Jarod fan and not a shipper so how do you feel about all of this? Is it any easier to write them together than it used to be for you? I'm so curious.

YES! I've always wanted to know more about the bloody knife in that bankrupt bar and about more of the sacrifices made to gain the Centre's power. I had hoped Parker would be unwittingly involved and not remember and that Jarod would have to break it to her. You are exceeding all expectations I have ever had. I love how you don't let the romance aspect get in the way of the story. You strike a remarkabel balance.

Aren't they so cute together? They're playfully bantering cutely and Parker says she's not surprised by his insanity and Jarod confesses that he never tried to coneal that from her. They're telling each other what they both knew but never could confess, and being open and sharing. You're doing justice, you're doing right by them and the television series and me.
