The chapters are short and sweet. I love it. Do keep going, Love. Jarod lying that he would kill her before letting her stay pregnant. I feel that right now. That's really how it is when the uterus is invaded, and if it has its own body and isn't a part of me IT CAN GET OUT OF THE UTERUS IT INVADED AND SEE HOW WELL IT GETS ON. Oh, that's right. It can't. Because it isn't autonomous and isn't alive yet because it isn't born. Honestly, I don't even care if it was murder. COps murder. Millitary people murder. countries murder. Israel loves to murder. I'm a man, and so my job here is to support women and their choices. Putting Miss Parker's face on this issue is a good way to bring in attention and empathy. The government-enforced gestation people see their favorite character suffering after losing autonomy that way and it does open their eyes when it shouldn't take seeing someone they like suffering to want to change it. No one should be forced to stay pregnant no matter how they became pregnant. You did good by Jarod too. I like that he told her to just convert and then the show yourself mercy. That's good advice. Well done.

Oh, snap, this is a necessary story and well written. I like that Jarod is stepping up and making Parker feel more comfortable with a decision that HE KNOWS she wants to make. She can't live any other way.
Her mental health and physical well being are in the shitter. Even if he wanted the embryo to grow to full term, wanted the potential child he would lie for her.
But that's not the lie that the chapter title is referencing. He lied to her when he said he would kill her before letting the Centre take her alive. He can't kill her. I think it's pretty common knowledge that he realized he was in love with her back in TP2001 and Carthis solidified that. Back when he wrote that novel and left her candy he was crushing hard on her. I think he's always been smitten with her.
It's important that there are more abortion stories. Something like 3 of every 5 women or girls we know has had an abortion, but there aren't stories, books, movies enough to represent that number. If you're looking around for 1 of those 3 women I'm 1 of them. The abortion was the best decision I've ever made.
The relationship was shitty, the sperm donor was shitty, the ripped condom was shitty, the world is shitty. I was broke, he was broke. I kept seeing all of those "can't feed em don't breed em" memes and it was like a sign.
I wasn't going to mocked by white trailer trash who met their spouses at famiily reunions. I wasn't going to be ridiculed for being a welfare whore, for using foodstamps or any of that shit.
I had the abortion, got myself out of the shittiness, went back to school, worked two jobs and now I can afford to buy all of the happiness I want. Money DOES buy happiness. Healthcare is happiness. A nice home is happiness. Nice gourment meals = happiness. Theater is happiness. Opera is happiness. Concerts=happiness. Travel is happiness. Living my life on my terms and doing what I want when I want to with whom I want to is happiness.
No diapers= happiness.
No whiny encumbrance= happiness.
Donating to planned parenthood is happiness.
I won't send a dime to anti-choice and pro-gestation states, the real welfare queens.
Show yourself some mercy=Words to live by.
No one else is going to do it for us.
