I love ths story. "can't keep up with car how will I keep up with a toddler" sounds like every parent I know. You've humanized Parker enough to make her relatable even likable without changing her personality You excel in that area and in not bogging down the story with a lot of extra unnecessary words and ..who am I kidding you excel all around in every area of writing. So addicting, Mirage!

I want to write but my story might have Mary sue elements. How do you feel personally about Mary Sue fiction or in fanfic? I read your response to my review of RUPTURE and you're right. This is THE HOTEL CALIFORNIA of fandoms. I will never leave. I'll just check out. It's good to have your company fellow guest. You young folks keep me young in many ways. You certainly grip my attention and hold fast to it.

This new story is a holy smokes on fire one already. Plausible, accurate  characterizations, intelligent dialogue, remarkable descriptive work, lyrical prose, tension, action, adventure. You have it all. I look forward to chapter two!

I know how you are.  You never do what I think you will do so I won't be shook if Miss Parker is  peeling tires in a cloud of dust that chokes Jarod to death and she never looks back. More please? I love it. The characters are spot on like they always are when you write them and the plot is intriguing and original. The setting is HOT as expected. I can tell you think a lot about climate change because you're always describing nature and sometimes it's nature is dying, dead, and nast-AY.
