I'm guessing his flight won't be a flight of fancy tho? Kyle was perfect, you have a grasp of all the characters, their expressions, the Centre, the interrelationships..the whole bag. Reviewer: Christoph Signed I love it!!! Mirage the scene with the little girl was extremely powerful. It was surreal. You make it seem so real like it's something that really happened. That abuse part read more like a memoir than a story...it was so real! Jarod's reaction when he "started" at Parker's finger being thrust added emotion and tension that made me shiver and break out in chill bumps. Mirage Mirage! Thanks for updating!
Consider this an apology; I certainly didn't intend the chapter (or the series or anything I write, have written or have yet to write) to resemble childhood or actual events/people (I hate it when real life fodder spills into fiction)- that said, I see now that there are some similarities: I quoted the F.P.U. verbatim at one point during the scene that you mentioned. "Throbbing toothache of the mind"- I've been touched with that emotion haha. I think you're right. In fact, I think everyone possesses a measure of darkness at some point. The Pretender characters all have a bit of darkness. I believe the darkness is Jarod's playground- I must confess: I love a few of the takedown scenes; I've found myself longing, however, for Jarod to finish the monsters off. Ah, a woman can dream. I was rather proud of him for killing Damon. Now, now. Jarod was having sex with Rachel (and Nia and Zoe) well before I began writing fanfic, and Miss Parker had sex with Michael and Thomas (Jarod's getting more action than our divine lady of ice? Making up for lost time, I suppose.). Miss Parker and Jarod never had sex (with each other) during the series, so please understand why I'm always reluctant to take them there. Trust me. You're a fine author. This is the Miss Parker I know and love dearly.. "don't ever pretend with me" Yeah, that's her. Totally. But she knows he's not pretending. She knows he hurt her deeply with the truth in the past and never pretended with her. He's revealed all of his emotions to her. She slapped him because she can't deal with the truth. She's probably afraid of her own feelings. I think she when she hit him and kissed him in the lodge after he came back it means she has feelings for him too and if she grieved him...either way I think it hurt that he went away without saying why or goodbye. I love the double and possibly triple ...and maybe more meanings in the chapter title. Gone. She is gone from him in this and his trust in Rachel is gone and those little girls are still gone. I think the FBI wants them dead. Please don't let them die. You write these characters amazingly well, better than the novels and you story is in line with the story from the tv series which is what I want. Always mature dialog and it all makes sense. Your original characters are a wonderful addition. I still love Olivia from Nemesis and Zina from Darkness Falling. I want to know more about Dante. Love that she called him Dollfuss lol not a well known dictator anymore. A very in character Miss Parker and Jarod. You know them better than anyone. Just more please. Keep going and going.
