I have to say that Jarod has been sufficiently dark just being the guy I remember from the series and you've done an exceptional job of fleshing out all of the characters and not filling this with details. You left me wanting info that you'll probally provide in due time. THere are story arcs and not everything can happen at once so I get that. You didn't give me too much certainly. You didn't start out too slowly but you also didn't give everything away too soon. I saw no typos or grammatical errors and I just love this. You're a gift to the fandom and to writing. Congratulations and thank you.

Ahhhhh ok wow. The beginning. What a shippery feels beginning. They are so sweet together. It's perfect. Jarod is a doctor? OMG! Parker calls him out for that and for all of the other sketchy shit he did and I love it and she also is reasonable when he tells her the truth that he watched and listened but only in the Centre, which is fair. SHe was chasing. When she stopped he worried. Thank you for mentioning unspoken arrangements. I always thougth they had somethign between them they never discussed. Parker is still evading him hella mucho here.Things are still unfinished. I've got faith you'll finish it. I love Parker's gentle snark, slightly saltiness, the "astute observation you must be a genius", the "traitor", the "aww honey you shouldn't have." The end is packaged as beautiful and bookends the perfection. Jarod saying "no, I don't believe me either" after Parker leaves. She leaves because she's hurt that he said that "not soon enough" wasn't the correct answer for them. She still has feelings. She told him that when she basically said time flew by really and that means nothing changed for her. The way they talked about the places they were going to see was heartwrenching. The longing sorrow looks...oh, Mirage. You take my breath away with the beauty, pain, love, and tragedy. I need more. Now.

Damnnnn girl that was crazy amazing. I'm glad Jarod doesn't wear the 10 gal hat and all that crap. I've been around horses all my life and I don't even wear boots unless it's raining. This is totally accurate too. Horses choose what they do and many that have been so called broken will throw an idiot to the ground if they chose to. I like the way you tie the "solace in wild things" to Lyle and I guess to Jarod as well who feels something begin "to splinter, break" but he doesn't break and he doesn't break Lyle. Broken people like to break people and there is nothing more dangerous than a wounded animal or abused animal. They aren't afraid to die. I love this.So profound. Sardonic Jarod. He was savage af! But he wasn't lying. It seemed like things were coming to a head with Parker always waking instead of telling him how she feels and they needed this and we needed some serious sex to happen and I think some of the tension has been relieved between them now. Win-win!! Face concealing degrees lol but she did and that was so out of character for her and you're right. You wanted her to swim for it instead of staying with Jarod. Jarod saying "ladies first" while watching Parker as they fuck and knowing she's close to orgasming is probably the most Jarod thing ever and I know Parker's hands over face thing was just keeping in character as she was on the tv series. Jarod seemed dominate during the IOTH show and Parker seemed demur and submissive and... it was freaking weird. But she recovered well in this and you still kept her in character. Thank you for all you do to keep this fandom alive and the characters alive. I love it. I've said it before. I wish you were writing the novels. You know these characters so well.
