Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it. Well, the affair was one plausible solution to the problematic parentage of Miss Parker and Lyle. Actually the simple idea of an affair between the evil Raines and the angelic Catherine is so repulsive that I'm probably the only one who dared write such an horror. LOL!!! SHAME ON ME !!! No girl in her right mind would bed with the freak. But in a certain way this is not that irrealistic : why would Catherine have trusted Raines to save Ethan, if it wasn't for some previous intimacy between them ??? She could have asked Sydney given his personnality he wouldn't have refused to help her.
