[PretenderChallenges] Parker challenge

Don't have time to do this one myself so I thought I'd make a challenge out of it. Knock yourselves out! Two thoughts passed simultaneously through my head. The first was Daddy's going to kill me and I don't care and the second was I've never been this happy before. Okay, so where is Parker & what's just happened? Is anyone interested? All ratings are welcome.

”Will the defense please rise?”

Jarod and his client stood.

The Judge continued, “Will the foreman please read the verdict?”

“We the Jury find the defendant … Not Guilty.”

Only his client’s near collapse with relief broke Jarod’s grin. He caught him “I know I know.” Once the man was in the bosom of his family Jarod took a second to savor the scene and then turned on his heel and walked out of the courtroom. An other successful pretend.

As he stepped onto the pavement a sleek black car pulled up and stopped before him and an equally sleek pair of legs emerged. Jarod came face to face with Parker and her gun. Right there in public in front the Court House she had pulled out and aimed it at him. He was caught. He knew it – she knew it.

First Sydney and then Brootes emerged from the car. Where as Sydney was dignified with his emergence Brootes still needed practice. He stumbled out and grabbed Parker for balance. “Sorry.” He squeaked.

That was all Jarod needed – he ran and disappeared into the crowd. “Damn it!” Parker raged and the focused on the Tech. If she couldn’t shoot Jarod she’d shoot Brootes. Sydney read her and stopped her.

“Parker no!”

“Syd.” She growled, as her stare never wavered.

“Parker no!” he insisted.

She snorted and got back into the car. Frustrated.

Frustrated. Parker was still fuming as she slammed the front door and walked through the house divesting herself of her clothes leaving a trail in her wake.

“I can’t believe that right there in public in front the Court House you pulled out and aimed it at me!” Jarod announced.

She stood staring at him – torn. “Had to make it look good.”

He stepped closer. “The frustration must be incredible.”

“Only the more for you to disperse.” He was close enough. She grabbed him and kissed him with a fierceness that played witness to his earlier observation.

As they tumbled into her bed a thought ran through her brain [If Daddy catches me he's going to kill me and I don't care cause I've never been this happy before.]

Parker giggled.

Jarod raised his head in surprise "Did you just giggle?"

She poked him in the ribs. "Funny ha-ha."

"I'm not used to hearing you make that sound." He confessed.

"I just can't believe that we broke the bed!" she chuckled.

"I know." He was as amazed as her. "Your fault." He teased.

"Oh yeah like I was in here alone." She retorted, "I didn't see a slowing in pace when it happened."

He nibbled at her ear. "Cause I never noticed." He graduated from her ear to her jaw line and finally
found her lips. He had planned butterfly kisses all the way, but when he got to her mouth she changed the
mood and deepened the kiss. And what began, as an intense kiss became a virtual language of its own.

So deep were they in the exploration that they didn't hear the doorbell, or the key in the latch or the door
open and close. They did hear…

"Angel? You home?" Mr. Parker called.

A cold bucket of water could not match the effect. Parker disentangled herself instantly. "Daddy!" She turned to Jarod in panic. "He's going to kill me!" and then thought [. and I don't care!]

"Calm down." Jarod hissed. "Answer him!"

"What?"

"Answer him!"

As she grabbed a robe she did as he instructed. "I'm here. Coming!"

Jarod in the mean time had lunged for his clothes. She turned to face him and watched as he stood with his
trousers already on but he still held on to his shoes and shirt. They could hear old man Parker climbing the stairs. Jarod looked like Parker felt - Trapped! - Caught! - Panicked!

Still the footsteps drew nearer. Jarod looked widely around the room, the window was not an option it was
too high and the door was definitely out! Parker who was more familiar with the room fared no better with
escape routes.

There was the dreaded knock "Angel?"

"Coming!"

He heard "Come in" and he did.

"Angel." He cooed. "I heard what happened with that idiot Brootes." He spotted the bed and her mode of
dress. "I'll be." he grinned.

"Daddy." What was she going to say?

He stopped her. "Now Angel you are a Parker and we have... appetites." He was proud. "I thought only your
brother and I had that level of need… but… this… this is amazing!"

Not for the first time Mr. Parker had left his daughter speechless. What he said next left her cold.

"He's here isn't he!"

She shook her head to clear it. "What?"

"Don't be coy with me young lady." He snapped sweeping the room with his eyes. "I know he's here!"

"Yes!" She confessed.

Jarod couldn't believe what he was hearing. She was gonna give him up! He braced himself - he'd die
first!

"That's more like it." Mr. Parker stated. "Sorry to have bothered you carry on. See you at the office
tomorrow." He turned to leave but not before admiring the broken bed again. "That's my girl." He chuckled.

Parker dashed to another room in the house to witness the departure of her formidable father.

She returned to find Jarod standing in the middle of the room. "Where were you?"

"Behind the door."

"Oh God - if he had come in any further." She couldn't finish the thought. She moved in and hugged him. "I
felt like a teenager."

"I agree." He caressed her "You feel like a teenager."

She hit him playfully. "Two thoughts passed simultaneously through my head. The first was Daddy's
going to kill me and I don't care and the second was I've never been this happy before."

"You? You are happy?. With me?"

"Yes with you and that was not funny it was damn close."

"Tell me about it!" His voice rose. Then in a normal voice "Excuse me but aren't you supposed to be on my
trail to take me back?"

She made a face. "Well one out of two ain't bad." He waited. She sighed, "I'm on your trail but not to get
to the center."

He grinned with understanding. "Wanna smash some more furniture?"

"Didn't you hear my father?" She replied as she pulled him towards another room "I never disobey an order."

"Or your father."

"Or my father."
