She could never call him baby.

That was Tommy's name, something she mumbled against his lips in pain and in love. To give it to another would never fit.

She could never call him Jarod.

Not after screaming his name in anguish so many times, swearing and cursing the day he was born; it would never sound right from her lips.

She could never call him sweetheart.

Not after he stuck her to the floor, had her strip-searched and countless other jests. Besides, it was too endearing for someone like her to use continuously.

In the end, she called him love.
