“And they said you were so hard to catch,” Bridget muttered as she descended the stairs, her eyes on Jarod’s sleeping form.

She straddled him, stroking his cheek slightly, “wake up, luv. Time to go home.”

Jarod’s eyes flew open. “Sorry, I’m never going back there.”

He pulled at a valve and cold water streamed out. Soaking Bridget but nothing more. She butted him with the gun and he was out cold.

Inside their cell Miss Parker, Sydney watched anxiously as Mr Raines answered the cell phone, and smiled.

One by one it was the last thing they ever saw.
