This series is like a meal at a fancy restaurant. After three great appetizers, this is first of three quite satisfying main courses. "Balancing the Scales" is the kind of story that sets a new standard on what good fanfiction should be like. The way the story is carefully built, without rushing into things, the attention to the characters, even the most secondary ones, it all makes for good reading. The only off part is the complete absence of Mr. Cox, but even that is excusable when considering everything else.Reviewer: Joel Gomes Signed [Report This]

This is one of the longest fictions I've ever read. It's very detailed and well described, maybe a bit too much of the plot is about the "evil" characters. Kevin is a nice character though, I like him and his story with Debbie. Jarod and Parker's relationship is intense and real, I guess it's nice that he's the one who gives up in the end and decides to move to Blue Cove to stay with her. I don't like too much Margaret: I've always thought of her as a sweet woman, not belligerent. And last but not least, Sydney's bond with MP is precious here. She's definitely accepted the fact that he is the father she never had. Very lovely perspective of him being all the children's "grandpa". :)Reviewer: missparker87 Signed [Report This]

This has to be THE BEST fan fiction on this site. Bar none. I mean seriously! How many people even BOTHER to invest so much thought, time, plotting, and effort into writing a story anymore. Especially in this fandom, which seems so bereft of well written, unique, beautifully plotted stories.
It is definitely my favorite in the series as well, as it focuses on Jarod and Miss Parker. Debbie almost hijacks the rest of the series after the incident. Which would be my only complaint. (besides that minor error of switching Crystal and Cricket halfway through one of the later stories in this series, which is easily fixed.)
I truly hope you write another epic for Jarod and Miss Parker. Maybe one that gets them together sooner! (so they don't lose so much time that they could be together!)
I had to reset my rating scoring system, because THIS is a 10, and what I've read before definitely doesn't measure up.

I love this epic drama. It is chalk full of so much rich detail and plot. I'm glad to see it here too.. you can never have a good story in too many places.Reviewer: Zipp Anonymous [Report This]
