Title: Gone (Part V)

The moment it began clear that Jarod was dreaming and something had gone very wrong was bracing. You pulled one over that I wasn't expecting. You deviated from the flow and it is genius. I expect directors and film writers to change things up but you allowed me the reader to get comfortable and I was lulled right in. You fleshed Little Miss Parker out brilliantly and gave her the innocent outspoken snark we saw on the show. I've never seen it done so well as you do it. You wrote Jarod's disorientation stirkingly well too. I'm impressed as hell. Those are four words I don't say often.

Title: Gone (Part V)

I've needed this in my life for so long Mirage and never thought I'd see Jarod so freaking disturbed. It's time for Miss Parker to get some pay back even if she isn't even aware that he feels he's losing his mind through all of this. It's so well written. I love his reactions and mannerisms. You capture them all perfectly. Closing this chapter this way was cruel and genius. I needed more and wanted it soon because I wanted Jarod to be ok but I still loved the way you wrote it.

So you met Michael T Weiss a couple of times didn't you? Did you like pick his brain about Jarod or something because MY GOD MIRAGE YOU KNOW Jarod so well!  I mean I've never read anyone who captures and illustrates him and his actions and mannerisms so spot on before and that includes the so called official pretender novels. You bring him to life him the real Jarod portrayed by Michael T Weiss. Anyway was that weird to meet him? Were you writing at the time? I'd love to know your thoughts and what you took away from conversing with him. Please let me know and please update all your fics soon. Thank you for this really it means so much to me.

LOVE this Mirage!! I've been saying it for years and I'll keep saying you should be writing some novels for us. This could be printed and sold and be worth my hard earned dosh! THIS is the quality and correct characteristations I expect when I open a Pretender novel. They magically come to life when you write them. Give us more. Soon please.

OH my GOD to read how they kissed with their EYES OPENED!!!! Even if it happened only in Jarod's mind. OMG! It sounds like something they would do. I know why Jarod would. He has to be careful. If he's never made advances in the tv series there must be a reason. You keep it real. I'm glad SOMEONE still does. More please?

Mirage Mirage Mirage Mirage.... I'm leaning back all chilled with a coke and getting really hot thanks to Jarod stroking Parker's hair unconsciously and all... uhuh and asking permission so sweetly... you get it? And then Parker twirls herself into a child and now I know how Jarod felt in his near coma state. Awkward. I think his life was flashing by him as he was running after the car and being hit an SUV and volleyed onto a Mercedes and thrown to the ground and knocked unconscious. I think he knew in his mind that Parker was being abducted and she is such a large part of his life. It was beautiful and haunting and so real the way you wrote it. I think he relies on her in some ways and that's why in adult Parker's absence the little girl is there in his mind. Did NOT SEE THAT COMING. But I love it. Wow. Your writing skills are beyond anything I've read ever. I hope Parker is safe and I KNOW you are going to tell us where she is and what happened to her. Did she find out who the traffickers weere or what? I know you'll tell us. I can't wait. Please will you also update Devil's Advocate, The Return, Oblivion... just all of them please. I know you're busy but I'm begging. THank you to the moon and stars and back again for keeping these characters alive.

Ah Mirage you give it and you take away. It's telling though what goes through Jarod's concussed mind. You keep me guessing young lady. He asked permission, he provided an opportunity for her to say no, stop the kiss. I didn't expect that from you. I believe you accurately and plausibly created in the elevator a way to sort of describe what comes later. His mind while being struck by an SUV returned to an earlier time and created the elevator drop and when he was volleyed onto a Mercedes was when little miss Parker shoved him over the declivity.

Jarod's internal dialog fits him to a T. I hope the Little Misss Parker will remain him until he can retrieve adult Miss Parker. She's a handful and I enjoyed reading Jarod's reaction to the child's presence. The Little Girl was correct to say that he's more afraid of her than he ever has been of adult Miss Parker. Just when I believed I'd read everything I confess you pulled another trick from your magical hat. I didn't think the story could possibly get any better. I'm impressed. Thank you for this. Until next time...

Thank you. Saved me from those American politics. My God what a mess the world is in now...and it aint great.

I enjoy immensely how you evolve the characters in each or your stories. It's always different, always plausible, always worth investigating. Your insight is intriguing and amazing. The characters are always in character when you write them. I can't wait to see where you take us now. I'm buckled in. The way you began this chapter one way and then we find out it's not reality at all IS phenomenal. Thank you for sharing your genius with us.

YES YES YES oooh uhhhh. Oh my Goddess! Mirage. They were together when they children or was that a part of the consussion too? Oh my God. Please let Miss Parker be all right. Don't leave hanging too long. Thank you for keeping The Pretender and the chase alive all these years.

Ok so I love it like crazy. The text being chopped at the top by the Centre use only logo is a pill but yeah that seems to be standard now on all the stories here.

Great stuff here Mirage. You're talented, intelligent, you KNOW these characters and what to do with them. Your characterizations blow me away. The only time they are this real is on the dvds I watch. You're THAT good. Your timing and twists are perfect. I love that Jarod was having a panic attack basically thanks to little miss Parker's appearance and trying to escape her. I especially love his "Thank God and optimized nutritional supplements" comments. God but that was epic. I worried sick about the grown Miss Parker and pissed that Big MP and Jarod weren't actually about to bump uglies but what a stroke of genius this chapter and story is. AN elegant stroke. You are a wordsmith and you are bold. I won't ever understand why you aren't writing the Pretender novels. You should be.
