Okay, what next? It's like coming in between a story and not knowing the beginning and wondering if there's a sequel after an abrupt end. Interesting plot though.

Hello Middleman! Sorry I have been absent from reviewing for the past six months (desperate illness of other half!) but I'm happy to say all is now well. It's good to be back!
I really liked this story - so well written - and you have left us with endless scenarios in our imagination.
Sympathetically written but true to character - congratulations on an excellent piece.

Hi Phoebe, it's good to hear from you! I hope your other half is feeling better now. I have been absent from Missing Pieces too, all my Pretender energy was focused on its darker RP cousin Pretender Forsaken...
I always do my best to stay in-character but, in the Pretender universe, it often clashes with my soft spot for happy endings. I promise to keep it firmly under control, for I know that nothing loses readers faster than a pink and easy happy end...
