I think Miss Parker has a right to ask herself why her mother didn't tell her who her real father is. Of course, perhaps Catherine thought her daughter was too young. Who knows?

Nicely done. The movie barely had a chance to show the emotional repercussions of this news for Parker. I liked how you compared her to jarod, how they are not really different at all. It was a good insight into what she might be thinking and feeling. The last line is perfect!!!!

I agree, they didn't give enough time to show how Miss Parker would handle the news with Raines as her dad.
When I first wrote it, I knew the title after writing the last line. :)

Wow!! For a first fan fic this is very good! I liked it very much. Poor Miss P ! I loved the way you linked her to both Jarod and Sydney ... such heartfelt sadness!

Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed it. I hope to write and post more stories, especially after the semester is over, as I will have more time away from papers, homework and tests.
Who knows, I might write a follow up in Raines or Broots perspective...plot bunnies:)

oooh, very nice depiction of what could be Miss Parker's feelings upon learning that Raines is her father.
I love the fact that you included Sydney in the fathers. Another thing which bridges the gap between her and Jarod, their tacit filial bond to Sydney. Quite a painful thing to admit as well, as it means that she is actually hunting her brother-in-heart...
Nice little touch, having Miss Parker reflect that she sounds just like Jarod these days, shows how unusually fragile she feels...

Yes, for Miss Parker to admit that her and Jarod share a father figure is painful. I think post IOTH, Miss Parker doesn't really want to chase Jarod anymore.
