Once again, you just astound me with a story line that gives the reader a brief glimpse of the human side of these two characters.  And so keeping in character too, you didn't miss a beat and if I didn't know better, I'd think this was part of a Pretender script that hadn't aired.  Job well done, and a delight to read.
