I . . . wow.  It's been a long time since a fanfic has left me speechless.

I usually hate stories where Sydney betrays Jarod because I love studying the bond between them.  This story was different.  All the characters were spot on and readers got a rare glimpse into Syd's tortured mind.

It's been a long time since a fic made my heart hammer and nearly brought tears to my eyes.  Your story did both in less than a thousand words and without the gimmicks of guns, bombs, or character deaths.  You communicate so much emotion using only the simplest of pretenses.  I love your writing style, and if there's more to this story I'd be eager to read it.
